Making Time to Explore Creativity & Celebrate Community

In 2013, Studio PAUSE, a small space in South Arlington, became a refuge and place of celebration for anyone who wanted to explore art and stories, gathering regularly to make time for creativity and to build community. In 2015 the Studio was invited to bring their work to the Gates of Ballston community, in the historic Buckingham neighborhood of Arlington, VA.

In 2023 Studio PAUSE was invited to bring its work to Arlington’s Columbia Pike corridor and serve the Barcroft Apartments community as well.

We are delighted to bring our work to Columbia Pike with the engagement with and support of our partners BU-GATA, Columbia Pike Documentary Project, Columbia Pike Partnership, and GatesHudson. And a big thanks to Jair Lynch for the donation of space and renovations!

My voice as an artist grew strong over these years - thanks to Studio Pause. I found the courage to create visual abstracts that reflected my lived experience.
